After two hours stuck in traffic downtown, I drove past @madart_galleries. I was exhausted, covered in paint, needed to pee, and completely socially drained, but I just knew I had to stop by. Convinced they were artists, I wanted to invite them to my exhibition and have a nice chat about painting. Turns out, they were the gallery owners.

For years, I never had the courage to step into a gallery—it always felt like something you only did when you were “big.” Six hours later, after great conversations, red wine, and 2 kilos of chicken, my first solo exhibition is now scheduled.

So I want to thank the City of Amsterdam for closing all the roads at once, because thanks to that, my first solo exhibition in a gallery is happening. And in just 2.5 weeks, it’s already here!
